Our philanthropic goal at Alpha Chi Omega is to develop “Real. Strong. Women.” Our overarching theme in all of our events is to raise awareness and prevent domestic violence. As a chapter, we strive to instill a love for serving others by continuing service at the collegiate level. All of our members have a heart for reaching out to others even when a hand isn’t outstretched.
In honor of Alpha Chi Omega’s national philanthropy, we host “Walk a Mile In Her Shoes” with many fraternities each fall to promote domestic violence awareness on our campus. This February, we hosted “Donut Let Love Hurt,” and all the benefits from the donut sale were donated to our local domestic violence shelter, Turning Point. In March, we raised over $4,000 from our silent auction assisting Big Oak Ranch. Alpha Chi Omega also hosts an A-Day event, and this year we are creating a tailgate experience for a family from Big Oak Ranch. As a chapter, we are constantly and readily building new events to serve the University of Alabama, the Tuscaloosa community, the national level, and even the international level.
Alpha Chi Omega has many members who travel internationally to serve others. All over the world, Alpha Chi Omega sisters have impacted the hearts of others and selflessly lended a helping hand.
Throughout the years, Alpha Chi Omega has partnered with other Greek organizations and clubs on campus to create fun and insightful philanthropy events.
Outside of hosting our own events, we are dedicated to supporting other philanthropies and service groups on campus by donating and actively attending their events.
By developing “Real. Strong. Women.” , we are always growing as a chapter and serving others first. Alpha Chi Omega views giving back as a privilege, and our Philanthropy team looks forward to widening our efforts in the future.
