Hello and welcome to the Alpha Upsilon chapter of Alpha Chi Omega! Explore our website to see highlights from the wonderful women that make our chapter truly unique! Alpha Chi has offered me an unprecedented college experience and I can confidently say that I would not be the woman I am today without the hundreds of women, past and present, that have poured into me throughout my past three years as an active member!
As a Chicagoan, born and raised, a move to Tuscaloosa, Alabama was a daunting task. As an oldest child with no ties to the Greek system at all, I was hesitant and extremely nervous about even joining a sorority. However, walking into Alpha Chi three years ago during recruitment, I felt a change in my heart. I knew I was surrounded by women who were passionate about lifting each other up; the love and support offered to each member was very evident throughout the week. Their passion for helping others and being trailblazers within our community was inspiring; I knew I had to be a part of it. I was eager to return each day and to interact with so many amazing women, if only for a few minutes at a time. Needless to say, at the conclusion of the recruitment, I excitedly pledged Alpha Chi Omega and I would choose Alpha Chi over and over again! From not knowing a soul on Bid Day, to being a rising senior, my experience is one that is hard to describe in just a few paragraphs. The love and friendship that I have experienced from now-graduated seniors to just-pledged new members is something that is truly unique and special. My sisters have pushed me daily to be the best version of myself, even on days when I feel discouraged or worried. They are there to remind me of my talents and gifts and to keep me motivated during long test weeks or homework marathons. These women are there to celebrate with me in happy times, and they are there to pray for me and comfort me in times of trouble. I have been blessed beyond measure to have this support system, and I truly attribute all my collegiate successes and more to this organization and the women who make up this chapter.
Thank you for stopping by our page; I hope you are able to see the love, friendships, authenticity, passion, and more that make our chapter truly remarkable!
