Our goal at Alpha Chi Omega is to develop “Real. Strong. Women.”
As a chapter, our members completed over 7,800 hours of community service this past year with their individual philanthropies! Our members additionally serve Alpha Chi Omega’s philanthropy, domestic violence awareness.
Dash for Domestic Violence Awareness
The first inaugural Dash for Domestic Violence Awareness was a huge success! This past year we raised over $50,000 dollars for our local philanthropy, Turning Point. Turning Point is the only domestic violence shelter in West Alabama, and we are so grateful to have been able to raise money and support them.
Carnations Sale
This February, we hosted our yearly “Carnation Sale” event. During Healthy Relationships Week, we sold Carnations to students and faculty on campus and in front of our house. All of the proceeds from the fundraiser were donated to the Tuscaloosa SAFE Center.
LOVE at the ‘Free
This past March, we hosted our inaugural “LOVE at the ‘Free” event in support of the Tuscaloosa SAFE Center. This event was during Parents’ Weekend, and we had a blast inviting friends and members of the community to gather at Innisfree to enjoy each others’ company while serving a worthy cause.
